The terms ‘you’ and ‘your’ used throughout these terms and conditions apply to our customers.
When selecting goods you should ensure that any products you select are suitable for your requirements; help and guidance on product selection can be obtained during our standard office hours on 0844 88 45 455 or by email. but you are responsible for ensuring that the product you chose is appropriate for your intended use. PackSealer cannot accept any liability for any losses you may suffer (of whatever kind) as a result of you purchasing a product that you later consider does not meet your requirements.
Prices quoted exclude VAT, which will be charged at the current rate in force on the date of sale. Listed prices indicated are subject to change without prior notice, written quotations given are valid for a period of 30 days from date of quote, unless otherwise indicated. PackSealer reserves the right to amend quoted prices before an order is placed if our supplier(s) notify a cost change.
Online payment is managed via the secure PayPal payment processing system. Please visit the PayPal web-site for a full list of the terms and conditions relating to the shopping cart system PayPpal is fast, secure and easy to use. Your card will be debited at the time of order where goods are in stock either at our warehouse or our nominated supplier. Where goods are not in stock or delivery cannot be made within the normal time period we will contact you before proceeding with any order.
We are also happy to accept payment by cheque or BACS. Please make any cheques payable to ‘TMEC UK Limited’ and send to the address detailed on our contacts page. If you would like to pay by BACs then select the payment method pro-forma invoice during the online order and you will receive the bank details by email. Please note that when using these methods of payment an additional period of up to 10 working days may be required for payment clearing.
You will receive an order confirmation by email, it does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing or we are no longer able to supply a particular product. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Quotations, price lists and other material published by PackSealer do not constitute offers.
PackSealer has made every effort to ensure that the information contained within itsthis website and other literature issued by us, including technical data, descriptions, and illustrations are correct. However, they do not constitute a sale by description. PackSealer reserves the right to supply goods that have been modified by design, specification or finish without notice.
Limitation of liability
In the event that the product is faulty, the limit of PackSealer’s liability to you will be a full refund of the cost of the product. In no circumstances whatsoever shall PackSealer be liable to you for any other losses that you consider you may have suffered the buyer or their agent(s) whether for breach of contract, in tort (including but not limited to negligence), breach of statutory duty, breach of warranty or otherwise for loss of profit, loss of use, loss of business, loss of goodwill, loss of contracts or for any other economic, financial or monetary loss whatsoever that may be suffered by you the buyer for any other indirect or consequential loss whatsoever.
PackSealer will not be under any liability whatsoever for non performance of its obligation, in whole or part, as a result, directly or indirectly, of any strike, lock out, fire, flood, inability to obtain material, breakdown, delay, war, insurrection, government act or regulation or any other cause (whether or not of a like nature) beyond PackSealer’s control.
Shipping And Handling
We currently ship to the United Kingdom mainland. Please contact us for postage options to UK highlands and islands and other countries out side of the UK. Sealers are usually sent by Parcelforce or similar UK courier and spares kits by Royal Mail First Class Post unless otherwise stated. Your goods are normally despatched within working 3 days of your order where we have stocks,; sometimes spares kits are sent separately. Hulme Martin, Star Universal, Optimax and Audion Sealers are despatched by Hulme Martin, Star Universal, Optimax and Audion directly. Each product on the website is based on the product being in stock at the time of order and excludes any factors affecting the supply chain outside of our control. The normal delivery time can vary but is typically between 2-4 working days. All despatch and delivery times given are estimates, and we can give no guarantees on exact delivery times. Where delivery will be longer than the estimated period shown on the website we will advise prior to processing the order. Where a product is not in stock either with ourselves or our supplier we will advise before proceeding with any transaction.
We normally use ParcelForce for delivery of sealers to the UK and you will be given a consignment number that you can track at www.parcelforce.com/track-trace. A signature will be required so there must be someone at your address to receive the package.
Despite our best efforts, there can sometimes be unforeseen delays in delivery. It may be worthwhile contacting your local ParcelForce office as they may have tried to deliver your package, but were unable to, they normally leave a card. Should you have not received your full order within 7 days of despatch then please report it using the details on the contact page.
In the unlikely event of your goods arriving faulty or damaged, please inform us preferably by email: firstname.lastname@example.org within 48 hours of receipt. Your goods will need to be signed for, please ensure you sign as unchecked. This way, if your goods are damaged in transit, a claim can be made against the carrier. Providing we have been made aware within 2 days of receipt if your item that there is a problem, you will be sent instructions on sending back the damaged goods, and a replacement will be sent. The cost of return postage is payable by you. We suggest that you use a recorded delivery method as we can not be held responsible for any losses or damage incurred in transit back to us.
If Goods are accepted from a carrier without prior checking, or signed for ‘unexamined’, no claim whatsoever can be accepted by PackSealer. It is the responsibility of the buyer or their agent(s) to inspect the goods, sign the delivery note accordingly and where applicable inform PackSealer immediately of any alleged damage or shortages. PackSealer has no liability for any damage caused during off-loading.
No claim for damage in transit or shortage in delivery will be considered unless immediate notice is given verbally and in writing both to the carrier and to PackSealer within two days of receipt of the goods, followed by a more detailed claim within ten days of receipt of the goods. No goods returned to PackSealer or will be accepted without prior written authorisation. A breach of these conditions shall debar the buyer from making a claim.
We do not cover faults caused by accident, neglect, misuse or normal wear and tear. Consumable items, such as element wires, Teflon, cutter blades, pressure pads and fuses are not covered. Damaged equipment should not be used until it has been inspected or repaired by a competent person.
Hulme Martin, Star and Audion Sealers are sent directly from the manufacturer and PackSealer have to check prices, stock and delivery of these sealers prior to ordering, please refer to the manufacturer for their terms and conditions of sale.
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait. Tax Charges For orders made from the UK (Including Northern Ireland) VAT is added at the current rate. For orders for customers outside of the UK VAT will not be charged, a valid VAT number must be provided for EU customers. Credit Card Security When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are not retained by PackSealer.
All products advertised on this website and sold within the UK have a commercial warranty of 1 year, unless stated otherwise, products sold to areas outside of the UK (or shipped to by others) have a commercial parts only warranty of 1 year, additional carriage may apply in these circumstances. All second hand and refurbished products are fully tested before they are offered for sale and carry a 3 month warranty. Any faults or defects are mentioned in the listing.
NB: Sealer heating elements, Teflon®, cutter blades and fuses are not covered by the warranty, spares are provided with some new sealers, should you require more then these can be purchased from PackSealer.
If a product fault becomes apparent within the first 7 days, we will either offer a full refund or supply replacement goods once the faulty goods have been returned to us. Please telephone our customer care department on 0844 8845 455 or preferably by email: email@example.com for further instructions. Please note that you will be required to pay the cost of returning products to us and if the product fault is confirmed we can re-imburse reasonable postage costs.
Regular maintenance is essential if the equipment is to operate as specified. During cleaning do not use any tools or solvents that might damage the teflon tapes and the silicone rubber. Worn or burned Teflon should be replaced without delay for safe operation. Any failure of the equipment through the lack of maintenance within the first twelve months of the purchase may render the necessary repairs chargeable and the customer will not be able to rely on normal warranty conditions. We do not undertake to pay for the cost of the carriage charges involved in returning the product to us.
Where parts or equipment are not manufactured by or on behalf of is not of PackSealer’s manufacture, our liability to you is confined to the guarantee given to us by the manufacturer.

You have the right to cancel your order within 7 days of receipt of products from us. We will gladly take back wrongly purchased or unsuitable items provided that you return the goods to us in a perfect and resellable condition, subject to a maximum charge of a 25% restocking fee.
The goods to be returned must be unused and well packed in their original packaging. We do not refund your original order postage cost, and the cost of return postage is payable by you. We suggest that you use a recorded delivery method and with insurance for high cost items, as we can not be held responsible for any losses or damages incurred in transit back to us. Refunds and exchanges will not be processed until returned goods have been examined, if following return goods are in an unfit state then PackSealer reserves the right to refuse any refund or exchange and invite the customer to collect their goods.
If you cancel an order for an item of equipment which has been specifically made to your requirements or specially ordered from a supplier, you will be liable, in addition to the above, to bear the costs of converting the equipment to standard specification. Where the said item cannot be converted then the you will be liable for the cost of manufacture up to the time of cancellation or for the full cost of the item, as well as the liabilities outlined in the paragraphs above.
PackSealer’s standard terms for the sale of equipment are strictly payment prior to despatch unless otherwise agreed. An interest charge of 15% per annum will be made on all invoices not paid by the due date. PackSealer reserves the right to vary the rate of interest charges.
Title of the goods passes to the buyer when payment has been received by PackSealer in full.
Upon delivery of the goods to the buyer or its agent(s) all risk in the goods passes to the buyer. Where applicable until full payment has been made. The buyer holds the goods in trust for PackSealer and is responsible for keeping the goods separate from any other assets and in a state of good repair. All goods remain the property of PackSealer until invoices are paid in full.
The customer shall remain a bailee only until full payment is made Where applicable no retentions will be applicable without the prior and express agreement of PackSealer.
In order to keep out prices low we operate a lean model which means that the office is often unmanned so it may be necessary to leave a voice mail or contact us by email. All PackSealer sealers and spares are stocked at our warehouse in Birmingham. Please contact PackSealer before visiting to collect or to view sealers.
