The PSV608x2a is the heaviest-sealing vertical sack sealer in our 600mm line: double heat and a wide 8mm seal. The extra seal width is what you want when the sack carries real weight, because a wider weld spreads the load along the seal instead of concentrating it on a narrow line.
It works upright like the rest of the PSV family: fill from above, contents settle by gravity, seal across the top. Foot switch operation keeps both hands free, and in automatic mode the jaws close at pre-set intervals so the operator just feeds sacks. Pedestal mounted at 850mm working height with an adjustable support shelf taking the bag's weight. The adjustable timer covers films from 2 x 25 to 2 x 150 micron, at up to 10 packages per minute.

Important note
A spike in electrical demand can occur for a fraction of a second as the jaws close and heat is applied, which can trip the breaker. This is common with motors on start-up, so we recommend a C type breaker (motor rated) or a B32 type. A B type breaker may trip when current exceeds the limit for around 100 milliseconds, whereas a C type allows a longer period before tripping. This sealer can exceed 20 amps (B20) for more than 100 milliseconds, but stays under 32 amps (B32).
Common questions
When do I need an 8mm seal instead of 5mm?
When the filled sack's weight pulls on the seal. The wider weld spreads that load along the seal line instead of concentrating it. For lighter sacks, the PSV605x2a gives you the same double heat with a 5mm seal.
What sacks does it seal?
Heavy-gauge polythene sacks within the 2 x 25 to 2 x 150 micron film range: feed sacks, aggregate bags, firewood sacks, and similar. If you are unsure about your sack material, send us a sample. We will seal it in the workshop and tell you which machine fits. Free.
How is it delivered?
On a pallet. PSV sealers are heavy machines on substantial stands, so they ship palletised to a kerbside or goods-in delivery point. We dispatch from our Solihull warehouse and confirm the delivery arrangements with you after ordering.
How much does a vertical sack sealer cost?
The PSV608x2a is £883 ex VAT, including the heavy-duty stand and adjustable support shelf, delivered on a pallet. The 5mm double and single heat versions are linked in the picker at the top of this page if your sacks are lighter.
