Continuous Band Sealers

Continuous band sealing since 2001

Seal bag after bag, all day

A band sealer runs a conveyor belt past a heated band, so it seals continuously without you touching the heat. It's the step up from a foot-pedal sealer once you're past a few hundred bags a day. Tell us your bags per hour and what's in them, and we'll tell you which to buy, or talk you out of one you don't need.

Which one you need

What actually matters when you choose

Four things decide whether a band sealer suits your line. Everything else is detail.

Orientation

Horizontal machines suit solid or boxed items that sit flat on the belt. Vertical machines seal upright bags holding powders, granules or anything free-flowing. The PSC980 switches between both.

Throughput

The belt runs at up to 12 bags a minute. Match it to your line, but real daily output depends on your bag size and how steadily the line feeds. Under a few hundred bags a day, a foot-pedal sealer is usually enough.

Coding and gas flush

Most models take ink or thermal coding for dates, batch numbers and lot codes. Add gas flush to displace air as the bag seals, for modified-atmosphere packing and longer shelf life.

Parts and repair

A band sealer is only as good as the PTFE belt you can replace when it wears. We stock the conveyor bands and spares for next-day dispatch so a worn belt is a quick fix, and we repair our own-brand machines in-house in Solihull.

Continuous band sealer FAQs

The questions we get asked most about band sealers, answered straight. Still deciding? Tell us your bags per hour and what's in them, and we'll tell you which machine to buy.

What is a continuous band sealer?

It runs a conveyor belt past a heated band, so it seals one bag after another without you holding anything down. It's the step up from a foot-pedal sealer once you're past a few hundred bags a day, and most models take date coding as the bag passes through. Compare foot pedal sealers

Horizontal or vertical band sealer, which do I need?

Horizontal machines seal solid or boxed items that sit flat on the belt. Vertical machines seal upright bags holding powders, granules or anything free-flowing that would spill if laid down. The PSC980 switches between both, so one machine covers a mixed line. See the PSC980

How fast does a band sealer run?

The belt runs at up to 12 bags a minute. Real daily output depends on your bag size and how steadily the line feeds, so treat that as a ceiling rather than a promise. Tell us your bags per hour and we'll confirm which machine keeps up.

Can a band sealer print dates and gas flush?

Most models take ink or thermal coding for dates, batch numbers and lot codes as the bag passes through. Gas flush is a separate option that displaces air as the bag seals, for modified-atmosphere packing and longer shelf life on food. See gas flush sealers

What bags and films can a band sealer seal?

Band sealers close polythene, polypropylene, laminates and many foil and coffee-bag films by adjusting belt temperature and speed. Very thick or compostable films need more heat. Tell us the toughest film you run and we'll confirm it seals cleanly before you buy.

Do the belts wear out, and can you repair the machine?

The PTFE conveyor belt is the main wear part and is quick to swap. We stock the bands and spares for next-day dispatch so a worn belt doesn't stop your line, and we repair our own-brand machines in-house in our Solihull workshop. Heat sealer spare parts

How much does a continuous band sealer cost?

Our own-brand PackSealer band sealers start at £1,049 ex VAT for the horizontal PSC900H and £1,099 for the switchable PSC980. Floor-standing vertical machines and Audion stainless-steel or validatable medical sealers cost more. Price tracks build, belt speed and coding options.
