The PSHK202 is a 200mm hand impulse sealer, the simplest and most economical way to seal light duty polythene and polypropylene bags up to 180mm wide. Lower the jaw, hold while the light is on, release. The bag is sealed.

Impulse sealing means the element only heats while the jaw is closed, so there is no warm-up time and no power drawn between bags. The adjustable timer matches the heat to films from 2 x 25 to 2 x 150 micron, sealing at a 2mm width, at roughly 2 to 4 packages per minute.

This is the bench tool for occasional and light packing work: resealing supplier bags, packing small orders, closing sample pouches. If you are sealing for a full shift every day, step up to a foot pedal sealer and keep both hands for the bag.

    Common questions

How does an impulse sealer work?

The element under the PTFE strip heats only while the jaw is closed and current flows. Hold the jaw down while the light is on, give it a couple of seconds to cool under pressure, and the seal is done. No warm-up time, no power used between bags.

What bags fit a 200mm sealer?

Polythene and polypropylene bags and pouches up to 180mm wide: small retail bags, component bags, sample pouches. If your bags run wider, the same machine comes in 300mm, 400mm, and 500mm versions.

    What maintenance does it need?

An element wire and PTFE strip, replaced when seals start looking weak or stripey. The parts listed on this page under spares all fit, and the elements are made here in the UK.

How much does the PSHK202 cost?

£64 ex VAT. It is the simplest, most economical way to put a watertight seal on a small polythene bag, and spares for it are stocked in our Solihull warehouse.
