The PSH502 is a 500mm impulse sealer, the widest plain hand sealer in the PackSealer family. It seals polythene bags and pouches up to 480mm wide: clothing bags, A3 document bags, wide retail packaging that a 400mm jaw cannot take.
Impulse sealing means the element only heats while the jaw is closed, so there is no warm-up time and no power drawn between bags. The 800W element runs the full 500mm jaw, with the adjustable timer matching films from 2 x 25 to 2 x 150 micron at up to 6 packages per minute. Previously sold as the KS500.
If you cut bags from roll stock or tubing at this width, the PSH502C adds a sliding side cutter to the same jaw.

Common questions
What do people seal on a 500mm machine?
Clothing bags, A3 document bags, and wide retail packaging up to 480mm: anything that will not fit a 400mm jaw. It is the widest plain hand sealer in the PackSealer family.
How does an impulse sealer work?
The element under the PTFE strip heats only while the jaw is closed and current flows. Hold the jaw down while the light is on, give it a couple of seconds to cool under pressure, and the seal is done. No warm-up time, no power used between bags.
What maintenance does it need?
An element wire and PTFE strip, replaced when seals start looking weak or stripey. The parts listed on this page under spares all fit, and the elements are made here in the UK.
How much does a 500mm impulse sealer cost?
The PSH502 is £149.98 ex VAT. It replaced the old KS500, and spares for it are stocked in our Solihull warehouse.
