The PSF455X2A is a 450mm double automatic foot pedal sealer, built for production lines that need a fast, repeatable seal with no hand operation. Double heat (upper and lower elements) gives a strong, reliable weld on heavier films and gusseted bags that a single-element machine struggles with.
In automatic mode the sealer closes at preset intervals without the operator touching the foot switch, so a packer can load bags with both hands while the machine keeps the rhythm. The adjustable timer suits films from 2 x 100 to 2 x 250 micron (2 x 400 to 2 x 1000 gauge), at up to 10 packages per minute. Supplied with stand, pedestal, adjustable worktable, and a spare element; it converts to a bench sealer with a short stand tube.

A spike in electrical demand can occur for a fraction of a second as the jaws close and heat is applied, which can trip the breaker. This is common with motors on start-up, so we recommend a C type breaker (motor rated) or a B32 type. A B type breaker may trip when current exceeds the limit for around 100 milliseconds, whereas a C type allows a longer period before tripping. More about circuit breakers.

Common questions
What does double heat mean?
Heating elements above and below the bag, instead of below only. Both faces of the film melt together at once, which is what heavier gauges and gusseted bags need for a clean weld. Single-element machines rely on heat soaking through from one side.
How does the automatic mode work?
Set the interval and the jaws close on that rhythm without the foot switch being pressed each time. The operator's hands stay free for loading and positioning bags, which is where the speed comes from on a production bench.
Can it be bench mounted?
Yes. It converts to a bench sealer with the short stand tube. As supplied it is pedestal mounted with stand and adjustable worktable at 875mm.
