The PSF605X2 is a 600mm double heat foot sealer for bags that need a stronger bond. Both jaws carry a heating element, top and bottom, so the seal penetrates thicker films more reliably than a single-sided element can.
The 5mm seal width can be converted to 8mm for heavier applications. Foot pedal operation at 870mm working height keeps both hands free for positioning, sealing bags up to 580mm wide across films from 2 x 25 to 2 x 150 micron, at up to 6 packages per minute. If your bags seal well with single-sided heat, the standard PSF605 does the job for less.
Where this machine earns its place is gusseted bags, heavier-gauge polythene, and foil-based laminates: the materials where a single element leaves a seal that looks fine and fails in transit. Heat reaching the film from both faces welds the full thickness.

Common questions
What is the difference between the PSF605X2 and PSF605X2A?
Both are 600mm double heat foot sealers. The PSF605X2 is manual, giving you direct control over seal duration. The PSF605X2A adds an automatic timer, which takes operator variability out of the cycle on production lines.
When do I need double heat?
When single-sided heat can't reach the inner layers reliably: thicker polythene, foil-based laminates, multi-layer films, and bags with a side gusset. For standard polythene up to 2 x 150 micron, the single heat PSF605 does the job for less.
Can the seal width be upgraded?
Yes. The standard 5mm seal converts to 8mm for heavier applications where the bag's weight pulls on the seal. Most jobs are fine on 5mm; ask us before ordering the conversion and we'll tell you straight whether you need it.
Does double heat use more electricity?
No. The PSF605X2 carries the same 1000W rating as the single heat PSF605. Impulse elements only draw power during the seal cycle itself, so the running cost difference between single and double heat is negligible.
